The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) announced a contract extension to procure additional ELW Global Diesel Field Kitchens (DFK’s), in support of their Joint Operations contribution towards the United Nations Peacekeeping Operations in Democratic Republic of Congo.

The extension solidifies the use of the Diesel Field Kitchen’s in the DRC, where they are in use by both the Malawi Defence Force and the South African National Defence Force.

The ELW DFK is designed to cook a balanced daily requirement for up to 250/300 soldiers, providing 3 meals a day. This is achieved with one diesel burner, the DFK is known for its fuel efficiency and clean burning technology.
